Graduate Students

Mohamad Chehab

Master's Research Student

Background

Mohamad completed his bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry at AUB and is now a second-year master’s student in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics, AUB Faculty of Medicine. He is currently conducting translational research on inborn errors of metabolism, integrating clinical genomics and biochemical investigation.

His interest lies at the interface between the chemical and biological sciences, using chemistry as a framework to explain biological phenomena, whether in courses or in the lab. He aims to build on this foundation and pursue an MD degree, bridging the gap between basic and clinical sciences.

About

Those who know him say he has a rather strict personality with a slight sense of humor. Hence, no fun facts. 😉 In his free time he reads novels and practices Arabic calligraphy, a skill he is continuously learning and developing.

Outside the lab

Reading novels and Arabic calligraphy.
